Tiny Seed Farm — Rochester, PA. Serving Pittsburgh-area gardeners since 2017.
I started Tiny Seed Farm in 2017 with a simple mission: grow the tastiest heirloom vegetables for Pittsburgh families. Every seedling I sell is one I'd plant in my own garden. I trial dozens of varieties each year and only offer the ones that thrive in our Zone 6b climate.

Growing Tips for Pittsburgh
Zone 6b, clay soil, unpredictable springs — we've got you covered.
When to Plant Out
Pittsburgh's last frost is typically May 10-15. Wait until nighttime temps stay above 50°F before transplanting tomatoes and peppers. Cucurbits can go out after Memorial Day.
Hardening Off
Your seedlings have been greenhouse-grown. Set them outside for 2-3 hours the first day, increasing daily. After 5-7 days, they're ready to transplant.
Best for Containers
Short on space? Celebrity, Lunchbox, Cherry Mix, and Shishito all do great in 5-gallon containers on a sunny patio or deck.
